Torin Bates

Hi, I'm Torin! I'm 19 years old, currently studying directing & cinematography with CMS at Pinewood Studios, and I'm looking to the future for any oppotunities and experiences within film and media. My initial interest in film originated from my Film Studies A level course and it inspired me to take film further.

As of writing this, I've worked on a myriad of short films as well as one considerably larger-in-scale (as part of the course at Pinewood) which really opened me up to different paths in film

I am most experienced in the assistant directing role (whether as a 1st, 2nd and 3rd); I am capable of setting up radio mics, coordinating different departments, creating call sheets and building shooting schedules alongside directors. Most of all I am able to really enjoy the job; I love helping people on set and bringing the film together - there's no better feeling for me, during production.
