Robin Arieh was born in Leeds to two talented musicians, which naturally meant that music played a central role in her life from a very young age. Surrounded by a musical environment, she accompanied her parents on tour and began writing her own songs at the age of three. It is clear that music has been a fundamental force in shaping her world.
At the age of 8, Robin joined a stage school where she honed her skills in acting, singing, and dancing. Through this experience, she discovered a deep passion for both acting and singing, which led her to pursue screen acting at the age of 11 by enrolling in screen acting classes at YAFTA. She continued her training throughout high school, and at the end of her first year of college, she made the decision to focus on her academic studies during her second year.
While at college, Robin decided to pursue acting by undertaking a BTEC in Acting. During this time, she developed a keen interest in devised performance and began showcasing her own original songs, accompanying herself on guitar for classmates. This rekindled her passion for songwriting, and she successfully balanced both acting and music as she completed her acting course.
Throughout her college years, Robin has gained valuable experience on stage and screen. College performances include playing Mrs. Samsa in *Metamorphosis*, Daphne in *Frasier*, and the creation of a character named Felicity Crystal, a materialistic "spiritualist," in a devised production. Her portrayal of Felicity was particularly well-received, with the audience responding positively to her dynamic performance. Robin also adapted and portrayed the role of Annabelle in the student short film *Baby Stu*, a project where she not only acted but also contributed to the filming, editing, and production process, expanding her skill set in film production.
Robin’s tutors and peers alike have praised her for her "superb comedic timing," which has led her to develop a particular affinity for both comedy and drama. She enjoys exploring these genres and is continually seeking opportunities to refine her craft.
Upon completing her college acting course, Robin plans to attend drama school to deepen her knowledge and experience in acting. Simultaneously, she is preparing to release a few of her original songs in early February 2025, aiming to share her music with a broader audience through streaming platforms like Spotify.
