Oliver Wilkinson-Travis

Oliver Wilkinson-Travis is a lead guitarist based in the area of West Yorkshire. Oliver specialises in a variety of genres, most notably the genres Indie/indie-rock, Rock/Soft-rock and many styles of Blues and Blues-rock.

 Taught by his grandad and taking inspiration from figures such as Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy and Dire Straits, Oliver has developed a portfolio of knowledge within these genres and displays this in different settings from headlining gigs, to performing a number of covers as content for platforms such as Youtube and TikTok. A significant milestone for Oliver was performing his first headline gig to a sold out crowd with his band at the Grayston Unity in Halifax. Notable achievements include building an audience of over 3000 followers on TikTok as well as achieving various distinctions within his college course which is Level 3 Music Performance.

Oliver’s instrumental proficiencies include an emotional feel for expressive Blues music as well as experience playing in different band settings. His technical skills include a palette of soaring bends and rich vibrato, often mixed together to create a sweet, emotional tone within his playing.

Oliver is currently part of a 4-piece band under the name of Cavan Murphy, performing genres like indie and rock. He recently recorded lead guitar in the band’s debut EP ‘An Anti-Imperfection’ which consists of 4 songs within these two genres. As well as the bands latest single ‘Home - Live’. The band's next performance is at the venue Northern Guitars in Leeds.
