Music House Leeds

Music House is a Leeds-based music charity with a proud 130-year legacy -  one of the city’s best-kept secrets.

Our mission is simple: to make music accessible to everyone in our diverse local communities. Based in Little London and Woodhouse — one of Leeds’ most deprived wards — we’re passionate about removing barriers so that everyone has the chance to enjoy music, build confidence, and grow in a safe, welcoming environment.

Every day, we witness the impact of our work — from hesitant newcomers who leave with a smile, to children gaining confidence through creative workshops, to choir members standing a little taller after rehearsals. Our dedicated team makes it all happen.But we can’t do it alone. Funding is vital to delivering inclusive, life-enhancing projects for all ages.

With support from Arts Council England and Leeds City Council, we launched Who’s In The House, a free community programme that created three choirs — including our flourishing Community Gospel Choir, now 50+ members strong and completely free to join thanks to generous donations.

We’re now placing greater focus on fundraising to secure our future, expand our reach, and keep changing lives through music. Together, we can make a lasting social impact.
