Leah Simpson

My name is Leah Simpson, and I am an aspiring performer. I discovered my love for performing at a very young age through stage productions at school. These stage productions are: High School Musical, Aladdin, Beauty and The Beast and Matilda. At 16, I applied for Sunderland college to get a BTEC level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts Practice where I have participated in performances such as Bull by Mike Bartlett, Fake (a devised piece), themed flash mob events for Sunderland BID and FMP - our end of year performance. At 17 I took my first job with the party company, Fantasy Fairytales, an events entertainment company where I took the role as a “party princess”. This allowed me to gain many skills which have helped shape me as a performer such as patience, teamwork, communication and leadership. I am looking forward to seeing what opportunities come my way in this industry!
