I have been DJing for approximately 2 years (started around the end of december 2023, with a Numark DJ controller).  When I first started out I started by playing Bassline tracks associated with clubs such as Niche, Casa Locos, and The Boilerhouse.

Now I am shifting more towards House music as well as Club Classics & Anthems in order to align with the genre requirements of some venues such as Foundations at The End in Leeds.

However, on top of this I mostly also play Oldskool, Club Anthems, Organ as well as Bassline, and these genres are massively present within my mixes which can be found on my Youtube channel as well as my SoundCloud - DJ Josh S.

My DJing experiences outside of home include DJing gigs and events through college, with one of my biggest achievements being DJing at June Jam Festival, where I DJ-ed fifteen minute slot intervals over both days of the festival during band swap overs. Additionally, I also took part in a Si Capponi's (DJ Chalk) TikTok Live DJ Battles against numerous other DJs where we were all competing against each over by playing a fifteen minute set.

Going forward, I am now trying to further get my foot through the door and name within the industry, and I have started to do this by applying to do / getting involved with an Open Decks night in Leeds through Foundations at The End.
