Finn Booth

I am a multi-disciplinary musician, living and working out of Leeds. I have experience in various parts of the music industry, having been a professional musician for over a decade. I have extensive experience as a touring musician, playing drums across the country as well as international touring for a decade. I have played at Boomtown, Electric Brixton, Womad, Ronnie Scott's, Sage Gateshead, Queen Elizabeth Hall at Southbank, Roskilde Festival, Jazz A Vienne, West Holts stage at Glastonbury, and many venues across the UK and beyond - from intimate club shows to main stages at festivals.  A lot of my love for music is expressed through playing the drums and I am able to authentically and passionately play many different styles of music. Playing the drums has taken me to over 20 countries.

As well as playing live, I have also worked and created extensively in a studio environment. At the time of writing I have played drums on 81 released tracks. I have recorded in renowned studios such as Real World and Abbey Road, but I am equally comfortable when recording at a smaller or home studio - I am sensitive and adaptable to the needs of the environment and producer. Albums I have recorded have received critical acclaim from mainstream and independent media. Tracks that I have recorded have been synced and featured on video games such as FIFA 21 and Efootball 2025. I have the capacity to record drums in my studio.

Using my skills as a multi-instrumentalist, I have secured writing credits for a lot of the music I have recorded on. I am passionate about composing and producing music, having created music and honing my production skills in my home studio for over 15 years. I have worked successfully in composition, music production and writing music to a brief. My most recent work of this nature was with local music services company Northern Hawk Music in Leeds to provide custom-made tracks for a high profile event run by Red Bull. My initial work for Red Bull was successful and the tracks were synced for many other uses. I was invited back to produce more tracks for the following year's event by Red Bull, and this too has been successful.

I am focused on continuing to expand my work as a producer and composer as it enables me to be a part of the local creative economy, by using the services of local musicians, engineers, studios, agents. I love travelling and playing live music, but composing and producing music is very exciting for me and I am aiming to write and produce more music, whether this is for creative artists, to accompany visual media or for synchronisation with campaigns.

I have worked on multiple occasions with Live Music Now and have enjoyed sharing the joy of music with children and teenagers with complex needs. Community and tutoring work (whether it be instruments, production or mentoring) is something that I am interested in, as I believe in the hugely positive social impact of music in communities.
