Ella Burrell

Ella is preparing to graduate from the BA (Hons) Theatre Design course at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) and is currently looking for work as a freelance Assistant/Associate theatre designer and maker. Through the course, and placement opportunities, she has developed her skills in research, set and costume designing, model making, technical drawing (Sketchup and 2D AutoCAD), set and prop sourcing and construction, scenic art and costume making. Before finishing the course, Ella was the scenic designer for the chamber opera 'Take Care', by Douglas Finch and Cindy Oswin, directed by Mervyn Millar at the Djanogly Theatre, at Lakeside Arts Centre, in Nottingham, in April 2022.

Ella also enjoys performing music! At NTU, she was a member of three of their weekly music ensembles: NTU Choir (Soprano 2), NTU Chamber Choir (Alto 2) and NTU Chamber Choir (1st Flute). She has achieved grade 8 flute and is a member of the semi-professional choir Cantica Viva. She has also previously had experience playing in pit bands for a couple of musicals at high school and sixth form college.

Ella was on the committee for the Nottingham Trent Student Union (NTSU) Music Society for two years as the Social and Wellbeing Secretary (2020-2021) and President (2021-2022).
