Marlie Kean

My name is Marlie Kean, and I am an upcoming passionate actress and dancer. I have gained essential knowledge and experience through working with several professional dancers and actors in various workshops and productions; one notable event being ‘We Are Giants’ with Southpaw Dance Company. I am currently studying at Sunderland College, working on my BTEC level 3 National Extended Diploma in performing arts. While at Sunderland College, I have performed in many different shows such as Bull by Mike Bartlett, I have made my own show off the work ‘FAKE’, I have also danced to Rich Mans Frug by Bob Fosse.  

I have many years of dance experience, my favourite styles being freestyle, contemporary, lyrical and tap. To further my dance knowledge, I have also taken professional dance workshops in London at Pineapple Dance Studios. I have also worked with the National Theatre in workshops and a Song and Dance workshop with a professional West End production. Some of the skills I have learned is time management, organisation and patience. I am very passionate about acting and dance and I like to be pushed out of my comfort zone; I am a very reliable person and won’t let people down.
