Cartoonist Graphic Designer Visual Note Artist
Business / Company
Channels and Networks

I worked as an apprentice cartoonist in a busy studio in Derbyshire from the age of 16 - 22. Producing illustrations for greeting cards, magazines, books adverts and many other publications. Here i gained many skills, working to tight deadlines and briefs.
I moved into graphic design and print after this which is an ever evolving industry, I keep my skills fresh and use Adobe software to create branding and logo design for business. My passion is working with communities, CIC's and I have produced many logos and branding design for community projects and charities throughout Derbyshire & Yorkshire.
Presently I am running my business 13 BENDS DESIGN. I have a lovely studio based in Chesterfield and produce lots of branding, logo design, brochures, digital adverts, flyers etc.
I have many sides to my business, one of my favourites being visual note taking. I love chatting with communities and live drawing their opinions and ideas. This works so well with children and young people as well as having a focal point at events and conferences. I use acrylic pens and A1 boards to record stories and dialogue. Humour is a huge part of this process and I try to include lots of funny images to create a lighthearted but informative end result.
I have also been offering cartoon workshops to young people. This is a new experience which I find very rewarding and more importantly fun.
I am a deaf blind artist with Usher Syndrome so my future projects will hopefully be supporting and finding other disabled creatives.
