Kathryn Willis is a jeweller, maker and educator who lives in Monmouthshire, South Wales. She creates contemporary enamelled jewellery and objects using a wide range of enamel techniques on silver and copper. Kathryn was introduced to enamelling by Ros Conway whilst on her jewellery degree at Middlesex University. From that day she was hooked, loving the ability to play with layers of colour and pattern which evolve from her experiments with printmaking and textiles. Kathryn’s work draws inspiration from her textile heritage and the weaving industry of Wales. Other recurrent themes found in her work are repetition, growth and the Welsh landscape. She is a member of the Makers Guild in Wales, recently retired chair of the Guild of Enamellers and a member of the British society of Enamellers.
