Although I have a strong passion for acting, my passion for production is continually strengthening, therefore my ultimate objective is to carve out a career within film production. I believe that the power of film is pivotal in shaping culture, bridging divides, and igniting positive changes within society. Therefore, I hope that future opportunities allow me to be a part of filmmaking that not only brings entertainment to the audience but also challenges social ideals, igniting important conversations with the anticipation of contributing to positive societal changes, through pushing creative boundaries within filmmaking. The course I am currently undertaking has exposed me to the wider elements of show production. During the past two years at college, I have had many opportunities to work on projects with fellow students creating short films. These projects have enabled me to develop skills in screenwriting, character development, sharing and developing ideas within a team and creating storyboards for scenes. I have also had the opportunity to operate stage cameras and lighting. However, I feel that screenwriting is something that I should concentrate on. The more I participate in screenwriting, the more I I realise that I thoroughly enjoy it, although I still have a long journey ahead of me in terms of developing a true style, I do enjoy watching my ever-evolving ideas come to life when being acted out. I believe that as I gain more life experience, added with constant learning, the correct collaborations and the right environment, my screenwriting will continue to evolve and improve. During my early teens I was a member of St. John ambulance, although the world of volunteer medics is set far apart from the industry of film, I have gained many transferable skills. Completing my leadership course and becoming a Corporal enabled me to develop my leadership and communication skills. As a volunteer medic there are situations, which may be stressful, however it is vital to stay calm, with focus being on making quick decisions and completing tasks in a timely manner. All these skills I believe will transfer well within the film production industry. In my spare time I enjoy being with friends, watching films, reading, playing table tennis, playing basketball and swimming. I believe it is crucial to have hobbies, especially when opting for a career in environments where long working hours and stress may occur.
