Connor Quayle is a professional musician and tutor based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. He is an accomplished guitarist with experience in live performances and street busking. Alongside his performing, he has also helped many play their favourite songs on guitar and bass as a freelance music tutor.
His inspirations and influences span many decades and styles, playing with many different kinds of bands. His personal favourite genres include pop-punk, alternative rock, blues, metal and psychedelic rock. He enjoys listening to iconic bands and artists along the lines of David Bowie and The Beatles, as well as more modern acts including Arctic Monkeys and Yungblud.
He identifies as a highly creative and artistic individual. Songwriting, whether it is writing catchy riffs, solos, chord progressions, melodies or lyrics is something that brings him immense joy and excitement. Connor describes himself as a fairly reserved person, though loves being able to connect with people through music. This is why working Monday-Thursday as a self-employed tutor is so fulfilling for him. His friendly and encouraging approach has been praised by clients of Connor’s of all ages.
Connor is coming to the end of his time studying Music Performance at Leeds City College’s Quarry Hill Campus. During his time here, he made strong networking connections, became proficient in keyboard, set up an online presence focused on music and found his identity as an artist and performer.
Through choice, Connor made the decision to explore other areas of music when submitting personal projects. These include a documented journey into learning sheet music, helping his keyboard skills progress, as well as learning some engineering skills through building a custom-design guitar of his own to play. He firmly believes that getting his diploma is only the beginning of his musical journey.
