Andonis

Hi, my name is Andonis.

Andonis is 18 years old, born in Leeds, and has been playing drums since he was 8 years old. Andonis began learning drums when he wanted to try something new and different, so Andonis started taking drum lessons in primary school. 

2016: Andonis gathered his thoughts after a couple of drum lessons, and he wanted to take drums seriously and turn it into more of a future, so that's when his adventure began.

2018: After Andonis finished primary school, his life advanced into high school, where Andonis really got to learn and explore his passion for drumming.Andonis was so obsessed with druming that he started using his breaks and lunches in the small practice rooms, every school day after lesson had finished he'd quickly pack his things and sprint to the music corridor to find a practice room, Andonis would use all of his breaks and lunches to improve his drumming by playing along to song tracks on Spotify and watching drumming tutorials on Youtube.

2023: After Andonis finished high school, Andonis applied to Leeds City College for music performance. Andonis has been fascinated by music since his childhood, Andonis grew up listening to the Beatles in the car, air drumming on the car seats. Andonis began to really learn everything about music, such as different roles, business and self-promotions.

2024: Andonis's 2nd year of college had begun, and Andonis definitely felt the pressure for the first few months of his music performance course, not having much experience in music production, but Andonis knew it wasn't going to be easy, so he put his foot down and got to work.

Fast forward to Septemeber 2025 as Andonis heads into his 3rd and final year of his college course, Andonis knows this course will be the most difficult year out of them all, It hasn't been easy for Andonis in the first 5 months after losing someone close to him and having surgery Andonis was out for quite some time and didn't progress at all, Feburary came and Andonis decided he needed to get back up because staying down was only going to make things worse and Andonis knew music would heal him.

Bounce to the current date, 29 th march 2026, and Andonis is slowly healing but still unstable. Andonis is trying his hardest to get where he needs to be after applying for 4 Universities and getting 3 offers back. Andonis knows the grades need to be exceedingly high to qualify for the University he favours the most, so Andonis gets to work.

Andonis has played for over 10 years now. Andonis plays a lot of genres such as rock/indie, punk, pop, grunge and anything similar. Andonis has been practising every day since he owns a drum kit at home and records new drum covers weekly.

Andonis is currently doing a project called "drumming through the decades", where Andonis plays drums from the 60's up til the 2000's. Drums are the only instrument Andonis currently plays. Andonis'  current goal is to find a band and hopefully play live at venues/gigs. Andonis is looking for a band, preferably in Leeds or near Leeds.
